Has anyone hunted with Hades yet ?

Hi I would like to know what you guys think of the JSB Hades pellet for .22 comparing it to the 18 gr JSB . I just got 4 tins and I did sort them . and shot some . I can say I had very few rejects compared to the 18 gr . so this is a plus ..

I did only shot a few pests with it so I do not know yet if I think they are any better for hunting . They do group fine , I am testing them in a Taipan veteran @920fps . a wildcat at 860fps ,and a EDgun r5m @970fps . I saw tests on soap and gel but real hunting is what counts . What do you guys think

I really think same as you . I want them at least 25 or 33 grains . I did shoot a groundhog but I did not see any more damage then the 18 gr yet , But it is too soon to tell , I do hope they release heavier ones , I think the best sellers are 18 gr and last year the 25 gr picked up more popularity with more powerful 22 calibers so maybe they will go with heavier ones . I think this was first one to test the water . LOU

I went to order some at pyramid air and halfway through making the order I realized that I dont like spending 200 dollars for a few tins of pellets. I think polymags are about as high as i will go and ill save them for special hunts. Squirrels get crosman premiers, racoons get polymags or jsb domes and hogs and up get my powder burner as i live in California. Its a shame too because I have my bulldog shooting sweet right now. Oh well anyway I sometimes use gamo redfires and they do more damage than polymags I think. I might have lucked out in that regard because my marauder f&t shoots them very accurately up to 35 yards. I look for any way to lower the cost of running my airguns.

Looking forward to trying them out! I think they'll do plenty of damage. I say if you really want weight and damage just move on to HP slugs at that point. I believe there marketing these for just about every normal .22 gun can use them instead of only the higher powered one's. Not only PCPs but also springers.

Also @Raden1942 prices on Polymags are $15.99 a tin for 200 pellets 8¢ a shot where Hades are $21.99 for 500 pellets 4.4¢ per shot. The Hades are a much better deal price wise and what I'm seeing that others are getting accuracy wise much more accurate.

Got my first confirmed kill this AM. Chipmunk at 30 yards with the KGC Mini Carbine at ~ 935fps. Body shot & hit low, so basically a gut shot.....but.....don’t think it mattered much. DOI. I recon the shock these things deliver is pretty strong.

Whacked a few squirrels with them and they seem to do a good job. I shot one that was standing facing away from me at about 15 yards I wanted to see how a body shot would work so placed the Hades just below the shoulder and angled out the chest. The pellet did not make it out of the chest on the other side but was actually stuck in the skin with just the head of the pellet showing through the head of the pellet measured .240 X .250 shot out of a Daystate Huntsman doing about 850 fps muzzle velocity. The three lobes expanded very evenly pretty much bang - flop appeared dead when he hit the ground a couple of leg kicks and tail flips and done deal just the way I like it!
