Has anyone had luck with the small carbon 98 ci bottles?

Newbie here. I got this one (not from ebay):

I've had it for a little over a month. No leaks. No problems.

holds air. fills gun. If you have a 250bar 300+ bottle gun and you want to shoot a bunch and fill from reg pressure to fill. No.

I can fill my vixen from 115bar to 250 bar 2 times. Before I start getting short filled. That’s a 250cc bottle. If I wanted to fill to 3000psi ~210b from 115. That’s now 8 fills. It’s just how you play it.

Hello,

I already have a 74 cubic ft Carbon tank but was looking to buy a 98 ci carbon bottle off eBay. It was manufactured 11/23. I'm not sure of the brand.

I have heard the small bottles tend to leak; it is allegedly good to 4500 psi (same as my 74 cubic ft one). Has anyone had luck with the small bottles? Thanks in advance!

Never heard of any bottle leaking.
I've heard of valves and regulators leaking
I've heard of bad or missing orings causing a leak.

74cu ft is the same as a 6.8L tank
98cu ft is the same as a 9L tank

If you are filling your own tanks from a compressor then buy CE certified on Alibaba from seller that "ships from US"
(Acecare or Alsafe/Tuxing)

If you are having them filled, dive shop etc, then you have to have DOT certified at significantly higher cost.

Sorry, misread your post.

91cu INCH not feet
1.5L

Usually not US stock.
Tuxing 1.6L but ships from China and due to tariffs is $234

A pressure vessel is a pressure vessel. Orings leak on all sizes. I haven't bought any chinesium bottles recently but I do have half a dozen way out of date 92 inch paintball tanks I put fill stations on and use as buddy bottles. Don't worry about most of the rumors and dogma you see in forums, much of it is essentially fuddlore.

Thanks, what brand bottles do you have?

I agree. The small volume cf tanks are not inherently less safe or less reliable than the larger volume tanks. However, they can be less useful depending on your intended use. I have a 3 liter Tuxing which is great for pistol or low power rifle target shooting but is all but useless for the higher power rifles.

But they are very good as a tether rig.
I have 2 3L with adjustable fill valves. One set at 2200psi for unregulated and the other set for 200bar for regulated guns.

I have 3 9L and 2 6.8L for my overnight work. I don't run the compressor after 8pm or before 9am so I dont annoy the neighbors.
