Hard case recommendations for Maverick

I picked up a Pelican Vault for a great price somewhere, well over a year ago. Decided to see if my Mav Sniper would fit. The case is plenty long but depending on your scope setup, the case is just barely wide enough as you can see in the pics. There just happens to be a cutout, in the case, exactly where the elevation turret sits. Works for me. It's a storage case more than a travel case so it doesn't get banged around or anything.

I could recommend the rifle case from Harbor Freight. It’s huge and just a bit bigger inside dimension than the Pelican Vault V800. Lots of room for a long gun and all of the accessories too! Ball beating wheels and a handle on the opposite end makes it easy to tow. 169.99

Pelican sells (factory direct) new foam insert kits that are fairly inexpensive....
I removed the original foam, can collect moisture. What I have is a 5'x8' sheet 2" thick, and costed me about $60 with pickup from a foam factory. Bought it years ago still have about a half a sheet, can't remember the name what this called.

Thanks for the info on the foam collecting moisture. That is interesting that certain foams used in gun cases can collect and retain moisture, yet the case manufacturers still use that type of foam. Here's an article explaining the differences in case foams...
