Up until as year, I've only hand pumped all of my PCP airguns. AA510, AAS200, Career707, Gauntlet, Edgun R3M, Taipan Vet shorty, and the list goes on and on. I still have 2 of my hand pumps, one is a chinese made one, works well, the other is a Hill pump, still works well. Learn the technique, don't rush it and take breaks. I'm 54, 6'0" and 175 lbs, I have no problem pumping any of my current guns up to 220-230 Bar. That being said, I did purchase an F10 shoebox last year and CF tank, so that is my main way to fill my PCPs now, but I still pump them by hand if i'm just topping off.
I would buy an inexpensive hand pump and see how you get along with it. They are really not that bad. If you feel that you like the hand pump and want something nicer, then purchase a Hill pump down the road. I bought a used one with the filter for $125, works perfect.
