Airforce hand pump won't take in air on the upstroke. I pulled it apart (as much as it would let me) to see if there was any blockage, but found none. Anyone have experience with these? Should this post go in Accessories?

It's more likely to be a leak in a pistol seal or valve. If the air leaks back from the next stage, then there is too much back pressure for the pump to draw in more air.

Interesting, thanks. Do you know if the Airforce one is the same? And, maybe the liquid is actually condensate from compressed humid air.

Your pump, benjamin pump and these are all similar build. You problem can be in the main piston rod...rubber ball valve right by the handle or the bottom of the rod o-ring is damage. You can reference that on the video around >18;30<. On mine i took it apart just to see and take it apart ...the internals and replace the water with anti freeze. Got my pump from China in 2015 and have no problem filling my pcp's and hpa's. I have 2 other pumps I got on sale fro spares and so far have not used it.

i'ved used the video posted, and the one posting below to fix a couple pumps. all no-name brand ebay pumps. all the pumps were slightly different, but between the two videos, i was able to figure it out:
