Why does a rifle shoot more accurately hand loaded than threw a magazine. It makes no sense to me

If you do a search you will find older discussions on that subject. Has something to do with some mags putting pressure in the skirts, where the SLT simply doesn’t put any stress on it. May also be an alignment issue.

The rotation of the magazine and/or the pushing of the pellet out of the mag could put dents or deform the pellet at either head or skirt. Plus, each time a shooter does a hand load he/she take a little more time for the shot since it takes that much more time to reload.
