Hand Drilling

I did it with my Prod transfer port. I grabbed the transfer port with some locking pliers and used rubber as a cushion so I wouldn't crush or scratch it. Then I drilled it 1 drill bit size at a time till I got the hole I wanted.

good point of going up by 1 drill bit size. I'm trying to get my marauder to .25 in because I order an entire .357 upper from Jefferson State Air Rifles. I'm producing around 90 fpe with my .25.

Can you drill the port with a hand drill? Of course you can, but do you really want to? How much is your gun worth? I suggest that in this instance and in point, everywhere else as well, there is no substitute for the correct tool. Buying the correct tool is less expensive than trashing the rifle and if you will never have further use for the tool, you can bring the job to some one that does have the tools and skill. I am certain it is cheaper than the gun.
