Umarex Hammerli 850

Pulled out the 1st Gen Hammerli 850 CO2 rifle after a couple of years of sitting. These are a couple of targets my friends shot at 30 yards off of a fence post. There were better and worst targets, but these were pretty consistent. 8 shots each.

Scope is a 1 Gen back ATN 4K.

This one is from a friend learning how to shoot lefthanded because of left eye dominance.

I have 2.mine are the RWS 850,mine are very accurate,I did a couple of the mods to make them better.
I think maybe 7 or so years ago they were pretty popular ,they got a lot of shots, while they should with that cannister.I put a muzzle break on mine to quiet them....I really liked them ,back in the day.

back in the day when The 850 Forum was up and running, everyone wanted to play with them, but it was on the early side of HPA
the early ones have LW barrels, and they can shoot and 30YDs should be in their wheelhouse
i have one in both calibers they have 15mm barrels so fitting a can on them is easy and they will be silent
there was a problem with some of the .22 they drilled the front sight screw hole too deep and it would put a dimple inside the barrel and they would not shoot
and if you are using 8/8 or 90 gr carts just stop and buy the 2x12gr adapters, years ago they were 100 buck but now they are 30 bucks or so
that was anyways the biggest complaint, dumping a new 88gr cart because the cart Oring would not seal the cart, the adapters can be full and removed

they are an overlook rifle in my view and if the trigger is modded they can be as good as most rifles out there in the 750fps range

Hi all. Sorry to ask a question that may have come up already. I have a Magnum 850 which I converted to PCP. I originally used an HK ARMY 13ci with 850 psi reg. I then bought a 1200psi reg to increase the power but it’s only shooting at about 360ft/sec so well down on the co2? Is there something I’m missing? I’ve changed the hammer spring for the dominator 1250 spring. Thanks in advance

Hammer spring may need to be shimmed. It might not have enough strike to fully open the valve.

I picked up a leaky Walther Rotek .22 for $100 last year and have been very happy with it. It's not gonna be a powerhouse due to the valving and TP but it loves Crosman Premiers at 50m so within its limits its awesome. Still need to sort the trigger out but had a few projects ahead of it.

I've had RWS 850 in .177 and .22 both were great shooters as well.
