Hammerli 850 trigger adjustment

The instructions say you can adjust the trigger pull, but don’t indicate which direction of the adjustment does what. Sadly, two inquiries to Umarex have gotten no answer. Can it be that hard a question that it stumps the factory experts?

Anyone out there with advice on how to do the adjustment, and what to try to achieve? I am a very casual garage shooter, not a hunter or competition shooter.

I have a Walther Rotek pcp , which the action closely looks like a Hammerli 850. The booklet says turn the screw clockwise to decrease the length of pull. As far as I know , no way to adjust pull weight.
