Hammer spring adjustment on Walther Reign? Got it!

There is no cap that can unscrewed to take out the hammer spring, you have to go through the gun. The lock work will have to be exposed to get to the hammer spring. Found some springs at ACE Hardware that where close in od. but longer and made of thinner wire. Cut the springs to decreasing lengths and tried in the gun. Got velocities from 380fps to 775 and can still go longer with the lighter spring.

This is how the lock work should look. If some of your pins are missing check the underside of the lock cover.

Hi Peep!

I've got a question on the specs of the original hammer spring on the Walther Reign .22 (length, diameter, ...).

Second question is the reason you wanted to swap the hammer spring with another custom spring? (better accuracy, more shots, ...)

For me the main reason to replace the spring in my .22 ; is because I suspect the spring is too strong and therefore I'm losing to much air on each shot. Second reason is the noise the hammer/spring is making. Altough I have a moderator installed; the noise of that hammer is ridiculous.

As I haven't 'openend up' the internals yet (except for some basic trigger adjustments); I don't have details on the spring nor the hammer.

Thx for your feedback!
