Had some fun today

I got a few hours of "fun" time today, enjoying the last day of my spring break holiday with the kids. They went back to school and I don't work until midnight... What ever should I do? Yep, I did :)

The farm is starting to green, the pumps are pumping and the squirrels made me work for it. There were about a dozen that I had a good shot on, and maybe 6-8 more that were not in the mood to play. All the squirrels today were the full adult size. I ended the day with 7 on the score card. My camera recorded in 2x speed, results are not worth watching. The last shot of the day was the one I have to tell you guys about. I spotted 2 rock squirrels at 212 yards and gave them a heck of a scare (but missed). I have my range card only dialed in to 100 yards, so as close as I came at 200+ still made me happy.

This blondie Bull Squirrel allowed me to close to 76 yards and coax him out of the tunnel with my ANGRY SQUIRREL phone app. He was tucked up under a rock slab and he thought he was safe. The Kral Puncher Breaker .22 sent him some 28.5 grains of affection and a love connection was made. The squirrel took the shot in the high shoulder/neck. He swapped ends and dove back into the hole, only to flip and kick his way back to the position where we first met. I honestly was surprised that the shot landed. I have not spent much time on the airguns since November, and these skills are quite perishable. Post action analisys shows that he has already done his genetic duty. Much to my disappointment, there will be more pests that will need my attention. ;)

Shoot'em good guys (and I will double check my video setup next time)
