Had fun shooting the Bulldog today

Had a ton of fun today shooting with my friend Chuck. Here’s some shots with my bulldog.. What you see in the two pictures with the round targets is 4 shots with the polymags and 4 shots with AeroMagnum devastators at 50yds. The final picture on the sight-in square target is at 75yds with 4 shots with polymags and 5 shots of the AeroMagnum’s. Those polymags sure do punch a clean hole. I got a few bullet on bullet shots today which was very exciting. All these shots are with a stock bulldog with a Pitbull moderator. Once I get a regulator and start to do some tuning for different ammo I’m sure I can tighten up even more. But for right now I’m pretty darn happy with what I’m seeing. I have a lot more bullet testing to do, this is a small part I’d like to share. Only mods done to my bulldog are the Pitbull Airguns barrel supports and their Mega Moderator *Also this was done in 11-15mph

Mod edit: moved to Big Bore Airguns forum

I met a very nice young man named Gabe from here on the forum a couple months ago and have been shooting with him on Sundays...and I have to admit that somewhere along the line I must have become an FX snob! Gabe has a Benjamin Marauder in .25 cal. and a Benjamin Bulldog in .357 cal. So I was amazed to discover how accurate both of his rifles are with the Predator Polymags. Yesterday his Marauder was shooting tit for tat - pellet on pellet accurate at 50 yards with my FX Streamline .25 cal.! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! All I could say was WOOHOO! :)

That's when I realized that I somehow must have thought that because they are so inexpensive - read that as cheap- they probably are not very accurate...but boy did I get an eye opener! I would shoot at a target and Gabe's Marauder would put a shot in the hole I just made, over and over again! I don't know what it will do with JSB's but if it were me I wouldn't ever put anything in it but Polymags. After awhile we moved back to 75 yards and even then he was getting 1" groups except for a couple flyers when the wind would gust too hard!

And then Gabe got to shooting his Bulldog at 75 yards with the Polymags, and let me tell you this - that Bulldog will hunt! I don't envy any hogs that get in his sights at that range! That Bulldog can turn a hog into bacon for breakfast for sure! I can't wait for us to go out to Markham Park and shoot it at 100 yards...all I can say about that Bulldog is WOOHOO! And once again I feel compelled to thank our host Michael for creating this forum...you meet the nicest people here.

All the best, Chuck

I just can't get over the accuracy of Gabe's 25 Cal Marauder... This is basically a $500 unregulated rifle out of the box shooting predator polymag's every bit as accurately as my Huma regulated FX Streamline that I have tuned to perfection that will just stack pellets one on top of another at 50 yards... And this Marauder in Gabe hands was just shooting just as accurately as me ... Tit for Tat all day long! Just as accurately as me... All the best, Chuck

Thank you so much for those kind words Chuck! I have a ton of fun every time we go out and shoot its a real blast. Thank you so much for allowing me to join you out there. I was highly impressed with both rifles but man I'll tell you what, those polymags in that bone stock marauder was incredible to see that kind of accuracy even in the gusty conditions we had. The bulldog really likes those Devastators and Polymags at 75 yds. We need to see what they do at 100yd and then 300yd when I head up north to palm beach in a few weeks. I really enjoyed shooting that pistol you have, man that thing is really cool. I cant believe I was able to hit steel at 50yd on my second shot out of that gun! The sight on that pistol also helped acquire the target quickly, the reticle is phenomenal. I cant wait to go shoot again its a ton of fun. This forum is great I really enjoy the people and attitude.

Hello Gaberossi,

That is some nice shooting with the Bulldog, good grouping. I orderd a Benjamin Bulldog from Airgun Depot yesterday so I'll be looking to get a variety of test bullets. I've watched some Youtube videos with the Bulldog shooting the Aeromagnum Devastator with good results. I like the idea of using a teflon coated bullet that would eventually coat the bore.

When I do a search on the internet to try and purchase some of the devastators it seems that everyone is sold out. Is this because they are in such high demand or has the company gone out of business?

Thank you,

Garnet
