Started the day scrubbing the barrel and sighting her in. Poi was like always with an edgun. Dead on and predictably the same. My only issue with slugs is after about fifty or sixty shots the barrel is allready fouled up and groups open up.
Had a lot of different responsibilities all day, but at 3 things slowed down to where me and my son could sneak away to a neighboring farm about 5 miles away for some pest control.
We got about 10 or 12 birds in about an hour. Nothing crazy, but boy did we have a blast! If you have never whacked a sparrow at 40 yards with a slug, you need to do it. That sound.... wow! And the plume of feathers going 5 feet in every direction! Lol
My son made some spectacular shots, greasing pigeons at 72 yards. Hes 9 years old, but hes shooting better than in was at 32.
His expression of joy at his successful hits was truly incredible to watch.
I live right in the middle of some of the best pheasant and deer hunting in the whole USA.
I dunno, call me crazy, but I'd rather grease a dozen starlings than shoot a monster buck!
