Hirnis, I forgot to mention the JSB Straton "slugs". They group also terrible from my STX 700 slug liner A. I don`t understand why, the shape of the Stratons does also Looking sluglike

And they group really like a shotgun out of the STX pellet liner ...

if so, you maybe shooting them to fast, they are a low power close range hunting pellet

Edit, just checked, there are two types stratons, heavy (look a bit like slugs) and lighter 25.89grn, it is these that my low powered .22 really likes.

bb, sorry, I forgot to mention that speaking about Straton Monsters. These are 25.89 gr. For me this is the heaviest straton . However, in every gun I tried i got bad results. I will give a try with Impact and set to low power, thanks.

Yesterday I shot some off the H&N Slugs at an indoor range at 50 yards with my Red Wolf .22 HP , These slugs were .218's and everything I have been told about .218 is that its only for FX ... Well oddly enough and to our surprise the 21 grain slugs worked really really well. The group at 50 yards was really really good , I would upload a picture but the size is too big for some reason ???? ... I am rubbish at that sort of thing . Anyway , Luckily enough I think I might have found a slug that works with my gun at long long last . I would not rule out the H&N 21 grain for sure . Would like to try these again at 100 yards I think . We shall see .
