H&N Slug HP .25 – here we go

The H&N Slug HP .22 was a big step forward to offer air gun enthusiasts around the world an inexpensive, swaged slug in many diameters and weights. Swaging of the projectiles ensures tight weight and form tolerances which is essential for outstanding performance.

Now it’s time for the next caliber: 6.35mm / .25.

Our plan to launch this caliber in spring ended in smoke due to the Corona lock-down. But we kept working on the design of the slugs to make them perfect - and now they're in mass production.

We offer two diameter variants: 6.34 mm / .2495 and 6.36 mm / .2505.
6.34 mm / .2495 seems to be the preferred diameter for the FX Slug Liner and Superior Liner, while Daystate polygone barrels prefer 6.36 mm / .2505. LW or other choked barrels showed no particular preferences.

Extensive tests on our 100m indoor shooting range indicated that the H&N Slug HP in .25 caliber delivers the best results at a speed between 900 and 950 fps, regardless of the barrel type.

The initial weight options are 28, 30, 32, 34 and 36 grains. We will of course offer corresponding sample packs for each diameter so that you can find the right H&N Slug HP for your gun more easily. And we may offer heavier slugs at a later date, depending on the demand.

The number of slugs per H&N standard screw-top tin is 120 pieces.

This variety of diameters and weights implies that it will take some time for all variants to be in stock and available to our dealers around the world. The first available diameter will be 6.34mm / .2495.

Best regards from Germany

Jörg

...I already have some of those from a year ago...😕

I think you have some of the samples we gave out on the British Shooting Show 2020? These prototypes had slightly different diameters (6.32mm to 6.34mm) and weights (33 to 41 grains, if I remember correctly). 6.32mm and 6.33mm were too small and the weight selection was not optimal.
