H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr .22 sale

Hey all. Just a heads up if anyone shoots H&N Baracuda. 22 cal 21.14gr pellets. Midway USA has them on sale.
I am pretty easy going with vendors but I will never buy pellets from Midway again. I ordered 10 tins a couple of years ago and they arrived with no protective packaging, just thrown in a box, and every tin was mashed. I called and they refused to do anything about it unless I opened each tin, sorted the pellets, and gave them a count of actually how many individual pellets were mashed.

I had been a Midway customer for four or more decades. No more.

Good luck!

I got some pellets with the Avenger I bought from Midway and they were fine but they were packed with the rifle. I think I ordered some later that were poorly packed. But I know I got some Baracuda Match like these (except for the Match part) from Amazon that came in dented tins. I opened one and the pellets looked OK. So I shot a 30 yard challenge target with them and they were fine. I like the Match better and have plenty right now or I'd take a chance on these, I think. I like to see pellets packed well but I am not longer confident that a dented tin = damaged pellets. I also ordered a JSB assortment from Amazon before getting my P35 in 22. I had to send at least 3 "tins" back because the pellets were damaged. The assortments came in a plastic container and it was fine but the pellets were not. Fortunately the fourth shipment was fine and still arrived before the gun. So I've seen it both ways. I like PAs foam squares but bubble wrap has been used effectively on some shipments. But sometimes it seems like some vendors don't really care (like PA and Midway).

When I seen the deal before I posted, I went ahead and placed an order. I purchased an entire case (hopefully (50 tins). I purchased 40 tons before from PA, and I was sent a full case -10 tins. From what I understand and seen a case is 50 tins, shrink wrapped in 5's. This is the way the factory packages them, so it should be good.

Mine showed up too. 10 tins. Ups had their way with the box as they always do. 7 out of 10 tins damaged. I did get some packing paper but it did nothing.

Amazon is just as bad. I once ordered 10 tins of the vortex supreme 30 cals(man I miss those!) and what should’ve came packed in a box the size of 8”x 8” x 10” length, came instead in a box the size that a full size set of work boots would come in, and no padding or bubble wrap whatsoever. 8 out of the 10 tins had opened and pellets were loose inside the box. One quick call to customer service had me another 10 shipped, which came in the same sized box, no padding, just dented tins that never busted open.

From my experiences, the vendors that I have bought Ammo from that take care of the packing to ensure I got pristine shaped tins were-
Trenier
PA
Utah AG
Field Supply
Hatsan

Out of those, I would say Trenier really goes out of his way to pack them well. Each tin is individually packaged in a padded lined envelope, and each envelope properly stacked. Looks like a lot of work, and is why he’ll always get my business
