They seem to be honest manufacturer and seller and make first rate match grade 100 YARD SUB MOA capable pellet swage die kits that sell for around $800 plus $400+ in bribes and shipping but a warning it's out of their hands if it gets confiscated at their customs inspection. You pay for the labor and product with no refund if it gets confiscated from their government since they are contraband in their country.

I'd be 100% into getting one or more of these myself, but the reason you mentioned above, is the only deterrent. If there was a 100% foolproof way to get them, say through another country, for instance, I'd be all in. Pretty discouraging knowing that you pay that much, only not to get the product. I do understand that the seller is honest, but, don't know if id take the gamble. With the luck that I have, if they confiscated 1 out of 100, mine would be the one that would get confiscated..........on that note, I can't believe that some high end machinist in our country can't duplicate the fine machining to make such a product.......

I sent a email to them and also to Patagonia airguns asking about the dies and neither have gotten back to me. I just spoke to my friend who has been working in the CNC industry his whole life about them. He was very impressed with those dies. He said they would be very difficult to make and cost a lot of money for them. I still would really like to get on in 30 cal.

i made an enquiry some time last year regarding making some dies for .25 cal pellets. I even sent a sample of my best ones over for him to analyse / replicate. When the quote / price came back to me it was more than I could afford so I declined. Johnny wanted US $1200 for the dies. Yes they make a perfect looking pellet but I can’t risk that kind on money when the Australian dollar was about US 65 cents. That sort of money buys a whole lot of premium pellets. He did answer his hotmail account but in his own words, ‘doesn’t check it very often’.

I wish I could afford them because the finished product is spot on

I saw a video on yt on his pellet sizer dies and it looked to be exactly what is needed but I have no way of contacting them. Do you have an email address for him?

Hi dies are works of art. Absolutely beautifully made. They do make a whole lot of sense for the larger calibres or for places with limited market / outrageous pellet prices. I don’t like my chances but I will sift through my old emails. But please don’t hold your breath coz from time to time, I do clean out such things. Either /either I will let you know of success or failure from my end.

30harry, sorry to disappoint but I checked my emails back until when I think i conversed with Johnny (and then went back even further to be sure). I have definitely deleted all forms of communication with Johnny.

I'm the exact opposite of you 😂 I have email and texts saved back years. I never delete anything.

What city/country is he in? I'll just have to go there and hunt him down.

I don't know if it's the same thing, but check out Corbin. They make bullet swaging dies and presses. I used to make my own handgun bullets with their press and dies.

I'm not exactly sure how the sizing dies work but I believe they work differently from any other die made anywhere. I think this die "set" will allow you to size the head diameter and skirt diameter to different sizes depending on what works best in your airgun. Most dies either size the head and skirt to the same size or size the head and skirt to a fixed relationship. This die (I think) will allow you to size the head and skirt to different relationships. Nothing else I have seen would be like that. I would like to be able to test pellets like that.

Also corbin dies are just for slugs, not pellets.

30Harry is correct. I am currently working on .1775 slugs with Corbin equipment. In talking to Dave Corbin about airgun projectiles, only slugs can be made, a skirted diabolo pellet is out of reach. The multiple dies needed, and the research and development of said dies, for a particular diameter and weight would be astronomical. As in $15,000+ astronomical, so skirted pellets made from Corbin equipment is not possible.
