Gx filter is here

At that point all the pressure is gone from the system. Because I have never gotten moisture from the filter itself I don’t do what gx says to do. When done filling I give the bottom valve on the filter a cpl of quick opens/blasts. Then I bleed the majority of the pressure from the compressor valve itself, ensuring the water down there gets evacuated.
I just got one of these and intuitively decided to bleed mine in the same way. It occurred to me that I might be doing it wrong, so came here to check if there's a specific order. thanks for preemptively answering my question, glad my intuition was correct

Yes exactly. I give a cpl quick blasts out of the bottom filter valve first so I don’t bleed all the air from the system. After the quick blasts I then dump the rest of the air at the compressor to blast out any moisture down there. Then open the top filter bleed valve to release the tiny bit of air up there.
I did exactly this today and it worked great. The GX instructions would leave no air to blow out the compressor water separator. Thanks!

What I am considering is inserting a one-way valve between the compressor output and the GX filter
Then bleeding as follows
Open Compressor bleed= bleed the line to the filter under pressure
Open GX Bottom bleed= bleed the filter under pressure
Open GX top valve = Bleed line to gun under pressure

It would also allow just bleeding the compress to give it a break on long fills while keeping pressure in the rest of the system

Thoughts please

Won't hurt. I added the valve, but even before I did, I just "burped" the bottom filter (hardly any moisture at all), then the compressor (98% of the moisture, carefully calculated using an advanced algorithm that most here wouldn't understand), and then the top of the filter to take it off the gun.
