In February 2025 I purchased a GX CS4I and from initial turn on I experienced random shutoffs every 5-7 minutes while topping off a 6.8 tank from around 3500psi to 4350psi. GS Support was unable to provide any solution so the defective unit was sent back to Amazon and a replacement was ordered. The second CS4I (build date 12-26-2024) exhibited the very same random shutdowns and rather than send it back, I just decided to deal with it and babysit the compressor every time it was used.
So I contacted GX Support again this month to report random shutoffs and they responded that they had identified a defective lot of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and said I would get one in a couple of weeks. The replacement CCA arrived today and was installed. I gave it a quick "smoke check" and then turned the compressor on for a short test of topping off my 6.8 tank from 4000 to 4350psi.
Twenty minutes later the fill was complete WITHOUT a single shutoff. Pending a more lengthy period of use, I'm cautiously optimistic that my random shutoff problem has been resolved. Hopefully other AGN users experiencing random shutoffs will achieve the same results.
