GX CS4-I (water-cooled) or AEA 480 BAR/7000 PSI (air-cooled)

The AEA compressor is really only useful for airguns that go above 300bar. It is not rated to fill anything larger than 1L, or 1000CC. And you can't use inline filtering past 300bar, unless there's some inline filters that are rated for above that pressure but I don't know them myself.

I would go with the GX. It can fill 6.8L and larger tanks thanks to its water cooling and since most guns are rated for 300bar anyways. Why bother with the higher psi rating? I have the non-I version and love it.

It may come down to fill times on direct filling to guns if that's a concern of yours and you don't think you'll want SCBA tanks.

Heat is main enemy of HPA compressors, those dealing in multiple ways to address it are preferred. The GX-CS Series utilize lower gearing for slower, less heat generating operation, the CS4 adding water-cooling. GX-CS does not recommend filling 6.8L, or higher, tanks, with GX-CS4, recommending CS5, instead. Any oil-less, waterless, high-speed filling compressor, relying on high-speed fan cooling only, should be avoided, IMO. WM

I have had two GX compressors, a GX CS3 & GX CS3-I, for over three years. Neither has been rebuild but both have been cleaned and regreased with products from Bill at TargetForge. With this dependable service in mind, the GX CS4-I appears to be a big improvement not only in cooling but also in total pressure outbput and length of run time per fill. My next compressor purchase will be a GX CS4-I, it is just hard to justify that expence with compressors in hand still working.
