I just picked up a new GX CS3 compressor and it doesn't seem to pump air. I plugged it in, turned the fans on, set the pressure, then hit start. It lit up green like it thought it was going to do something, then never started pumping air. I made sure everything was tight, emptied the bleeder valve just in case, and nothing happens other than loud fans. Anything else I can try? I'm hoping I'm just missing something simple!

The fan comes on but the compressor does not make any noises when the start switch is pushed? Hopefully maybe a fuse blew going to the compressor? Is there a worksheet in the instructions for diagnosis?

The pump absolutely should start pumping making a "wonka-wonka-wonka" sound. Hmmm I think brother Haji may be right. Where is the cut off set to on your pressure dial?? It sounds like the auto cut is set to the bottom of the psi scale. Make sure that you have 1000 psi set for the first run. My pump came with a quick start sheet that said to check the pump against a dead head. Pump to 1k psi and let the pressure out. The. Pump to, 2k psi and let the pressure out. And and then to 3k psi and let the pressure out. Then you should be ready for full use.

Thanks all! I figured it out. There was a power cable disconnected inside the compressor (a banana clip type connection that came loose). I plugged it back in (huge pain in the butt I might add), but now it is working great!
