Does a GS CX3 compressor need to be rebuilt after a certain number of hours and were would I find an instruction video on how to do this?

There is one wear part, and that is the seal.on the low pressure piston. A spare seal is included with the pump. 4 hex screws to remove the head to expose the piston. I have run mine 15 hours and have no noticable wear.
Do you have a CS3 already?
There is a check valve that can get gummed up with grease. That is a 5 minute job to remove, clean and replace.

JimNM - do you have the older style with the grease feed port? When I got mine it was updated to grease-free unit.
Mine's been good for 10 hours use so far. Bought from Amazon with the 4yr Assurion warranty, which I do expect I'll be using at some point, but hopefully not for a while.

I have the re-worked unit from Canada. The importer removed the grease and converted it to oil bath. So far, really happy with it. Just dont put a drop more of oil than 1.5 oz (note to self).
Runs a little slower than other 12v pumps, but that means less heat. I use it more than that YH due to how quiet it is I can run it inside the house.
