Well, barrel weight indeed changes harmonics, although you might be adding it to reduce muzzle flip. Controlling muzzle flip is routine in setting up for rapid fire in metallic cartridge rifles and handguns. It does not, per se, enhance accuracy, but rather your ability for rapid repeat shots. If adding a barrel weight enhances accuracy, it is the result of harmonics. The projectile doesn't give a, ugh, flip (couldn't resist) what the muzzle is doing.
