Gun show score -RWS Excalibre .22

I picked up two nice airguns from 2 different guys that were also attending the show, not sellers/dealers.

A very nice+ Excalibre .22 rifle and a like new RWS Mod 5G magnum pistol. The seller of the pistol is also a member here.

I was not familiar at all with the model of this rifle but I knew It coming home with me. The stock and metal finish really hooked me.

Seems it was more popular and more info in the UK forums.

After cleaning it up and fixing a couple small issues I mounted a scope tested it out in my basement range.

Using JSB Jumbo Heavies, 18.13grains, it shot pretty good averaging a little over 800fps. I haven't gone to a full 200 bar yet as I am going easy on the seals as I am not sure of the age of them.

Hopefully later this week I can get to the outdoor range and really give it a test.

Great score. I recall when the Excaliber and the other one... the RWS branded Timberwolf. Two shot shuttle. Name is escaping me now. **Rapier... It came to me afterwards*** Anyway, recall when they were on closeout from AoA back years ago and I almost grabbed one and didnt. Mistake on my part.

Beautiful guns.

I did end up some years later with a Timberwolf, but it's the beech stocked model. Been looking for a walnut stock for it for years to no avail.

Those are the best looking traditional airguns out there in my opinion.

I finally made it out to the rifle range today and had a chance to shoot the Excalibre at 50 yards.

First time ever for me shooting a airgun at that distance.

Didn't get a chance to try 100 yards.

These two 4 shot groups were shot with JSB Jumbos 18.1. Didn't try any other brands yet.

I'm sure the rifle will shoot better. These were off a sandbag rest.
