Gun shops?

Wait, I just remembered. Atascadero Big 5 has some PCPs sometimes. Usually Gauntlets and H&N ammo. They also seem to stock a lot of .20 ammo and I asked the employee if they ever sell any and he said never. I asked why they didn't stock more .25 and he said he didn't know why and asked if it was a popular calibre

Every once in a while you'll find a selection of airguns at a gun shop. My experience has shown that those who deal in firearms usually price their airguns so high that they seem to remain a permanent fixture in the shops. Also, part of the reason one is apt not to see airguns among firearms is that most firearms enthusiasts see them as not much more than toys.I know this because I've been around firearms most of my adult life and many of my friends are shooters from way back, but despite my best efforts, I can't seem to get them interested in shooting airguns. And believe me, I've tried.

Try local fishing and hunting and camping stores like mom and pops type sometimes they under price airgun stuff by mistake for really dirt cheap just to get their basic margin unaware of what they actually sell for at major airgun retailers.

No mom and pops around here, unfortunately, just the big guys. Even the large retailers have bare shelves where the air gun things used to be. So sad to see empty cases that never get restocked.

Only one guy shop around me, that I know of, carries anything and they're crazy expensive.

Nope. Talked to a local mom and pop store about adding air to his line (they have an indoor archery range that would work well for air also), but he said I was the first person in 20 years to ask about anything air. We had a great conversation, but the bottom line was there just was not enough interest in air and space was at a premium in his store. He did say I could shoot in the range as long as the guns were quiet. We had another shop that went belly up when our King,,,err Governor enacted the SAFE act. Too bad as this store did have a selection of air products but they could not make it with out the amazing business they did in AR style equipment (the guy had Everything you could want for AR platforms). I used to get all my reloading supplies there when I was still shooting PB. The third shop in my area really only deals in handguns and very high end rifles (not a single used rifle in the shop sells for under $1500). For me my local Walnut and Tractor Supply are usually pretty well stocked with cheap pellets, targets, spinners, cases, etc. I buy my guns, scopes, and accessories online.
