Tuning Guidance needed for DAR regulator tuning

I have called DAR (and sent an email) and tried to get Joe Musser, but apparently he has been sick and the guy I talked to was not versed in the air gun imports... he specializes in the firearms end of the Aim Sports Inc business. Nice guy.

Anyway, I am hoping someone will give me some guidance on taking apart the air tube so I can adjust the regulator on my .177 Gen 2 DAR.

I want to set the reg pressure lower so I can (hopefully) make the gun work consistently at 12fpe or less and that is going to require setting the reg pressure lower and possibly modifying the hammer spring or replacing it with a lighter one.

I understand that opening the air tube to adjust the regulator will void my warranty, so I am *patiently* waiting for DAR to get back with me on this problem.

In the mean time, I would appreciate any and all help from anyone who has worked on the internal regulator so I will not be going into this blindly if DAR never does get back to me with an alternative.

Pictures would be most helpful, but a very good *detailed* description of what I am going to have to do would probably be nearly as good.

I am determined to make this gun work for me as a lower powered pester, but I need some help to do it! (smile)

Super easy. 1). De gas

2). Take off stock 

3). Take off barrel band 

4). Take off air tube.

5) remove fill port/ gauge assembly

6). Use a rod to push reg out. 

7) Loosen the reg screw to increase pressure. Tighten to decrease.

Thank you! Is there anything special I need to do to remove the air tube? I mean, does it have a grub screw or does it simply screw off?
