FWB Group Therepy with the FWB Sport

Decided to break out my scoped, sub 12ftlb FWB Sport to finish the weekend off. It was a bit breezy so I decided keep it to 30yds. I shot 10x 5 shot groups to test the Norma 9.1gr Domes through this gun. I was pretty happy with th results, especially th last two groups. They were shot in sort of an odd order here so I numbered them afterwards for progression.

So the first 4 groups started off pretty well and ended up averaging a hair under 1.5 MOA which is pretty much my personal standard for a decent shooting springer.

From there I took a bit of a break to go walk the pup and eat some lunch. I came back and despite the wind dying down a bit, my next 4 groups averaged 1.8 MOA. That I wasn't too thrilled about. Group 5 was fine. In group #6 I pulled the 1st shot left and decided to change my POA to match the bad shot. 4/5 weren't terrible but that last shot was unexpected. Groups 7 and 8 verified that something was starting to go amiss. Was it me? Probably but I choose to blame the gun.

After falling apart on those last 3x groups I decided to pull two patches through the barrel. Sure enough they were pretty nasty. I fired one off down rang and then shot groups 9 and 10. Low and behold, there was a vast improvement. The average group size between these two were exactly MOA. I decided to pack it in and call it a Sunday there.
