What a day. Very nice 70 degree day and a friend of mine took me to one of his other friends farms to thin the squeaks. This was my first time shooting my Edgun Leshiy 2 at anything other than paper and man did it impress. I have an Immersive Optics 10x40 scope on it. I used to like that scope, now that I have used it to shoot at none paper targets, I love it. Small, light, and such a wide field of view made finding the squirrels in the scope so easy. I was hitting at 30 yards, I was hitting at 80 yards (estimated, no range finder). There was the occasional miss where the squirrel didn’t immediately take cover and the semi auto of the Leshiy allowed me to find the range from the first shot and deliver a quick on target follow up. Man am I impressed with both rifle and scope.
My friend took a .22 LR that he said he wanted to shoot. He never took a shot with it and on the way home he says, “okay, I am sold on the air rifles, that things is so quiet and accurate. Next time I am not bringing the .22.”
As a bonus for the day there were two red tail hawks and one bald eagle(!) following not to far behind us apparently making a meal out of our kills.
Still I guess the best part was having an airguns skeptic come along and then leave talking about how much he likes the airgun. He took a bunch of videos I will see if I can post one of them.
