Hello everybody,
Y'all wanna share pics and tales of ghogging this year? How many? With what gun and projectile? Thank y'all.
As for me, I knocked out the 20th groundhog of the year as of last week, 18 of those were taken with my faithful UX Zelos, one with my fun lever action .22, and one with a friend's 17HMR. I used a few different types of ammo, but the one I stick with now is 22 cal. 25gr H&N HP II slugs, I shot 11 of those groundhogs with that ammo, and the rest was a mix of Terminators, Baracuda Hunters, Predator Polymag shorts, JSB Ultrashoks, JSB 18.13 domed (bad idea, don't try it guys, even with headshots, it MUST be spot on their brain, otherwise there isn't enough energy transfer to do the job, I am speaking from experience) and and H&N hornets. The one with the 17HMR was at 150yds, that was a very easy shot, I couldn't do it that easy with my airgun, the 22lr one was some CQB action with a LVPO, popped around the corner of the shed and smacked him.
I am very excited to hear what y'all have to say!
Talk to y'all later,
Mo
