I own 2 of Crosman's R1s, and an A4P. They are a tremendous amount of fun. Naturally, I need to dress these babies up a bit, including changing from the hard plastic grips to some nicer rubberized grips. On removing the OEM grips, each grip has 2 springs associated with it. These seem to at least have something to do with the function of the selector switch. In the course of this, I have beaten up the OEM springs pretty good. And, I cannot find parts diagrams for these anywhere - not on Crosman's site, not Pyramid, nor with extensive internet searching.
Questions: 1) Anyone know where I can find a parts diagram/parts list? 2) Anybody know what exactly these springs do? 3) If any of you have successfully swapped out your grip, can you give me some tips for success? Thank you for thinking about this.
