Grey Partridge Hunting.

cactusjackGood shooting! What kind of terrain do the grey partridge live in? Is the hunting a spot and stalk type? Your recipe sounds awesome.

Thanks.
They live in semi-mountaneous region.Bushy, dry and not marshy.
During night they sit on trees.
They usually run(very fast) rather than flying.Their very hard to find during winters cause their color matches with the color of the bush.
So far this is the best meat in bird category for me.No smell very tender.

I live in the high desert of arizona. Very dry bushy and rolling hills. It sounds very much like a game bird we have out here called Gambels Quail. Very difficult to find without trained hunting dogs. They flush fairly far and also prefer to run vs flying and are very fast. The meat is also very nice if prepared well. It is almost impossible to hunt them with an airgun. It takes two nice sized birds to make a good meal.
