I had the bona fortuna to own a very special rifle. Long story short, it's a JW65 spec MK1 rifle, left handed walnut thumbhole stock in .177 caliber. I love this gun, left handed stock and all.
I put an ad up looking for a right handed stock.
I could hardly believe it when Sonnysan (avid airgunner, great guy and AGN member) called me: "I have one." We chatted, corresponded and the deal was sealed. The stock arrived today. Unwrapped and in front of me, my jaw dropped. The stock is beautiful!
Action now in the new stock and screws appropriately torqued, it was time to check for zero at 26 yards. Here's the 26 yd zero test using a 5/8" Shoot-N-See sticker for a target, shot from a seated FT position over the arm into a stiff headwind/quartering headwind from 2/3 o'clock:
Loving life right about now. Not a click given for windage or elevation on the Bushnell Elite 4200 8-32X40. POI consistent as with the original stock.
Hard to believe that this piece of lumber sat unused in Sonnysan's closet for a few years. It now adorns my favorite rifle. I'm looking forward to many years of use and enjoyment. Thanks again Sonny, I owe you man!
