**Graphic** Cricket slays the dragon

So, I went to check one of my usual iguana grounds and as I pull into my parking area, I could see two on the other side of a large canal. One green and one sort of blackish, the blackish one was BIG. I got my vortex ranger 1000 out to check the distance. I was at 78 yards, exactly two dots holdover. I took out the Cricket .25, adjusted the parallax, put the second dot on the brain, and let the JSB 25.4 fly.All I saw was this huge dragon bow his head in defeat....not even a twitch. I threw a size 10 flip flop in for size comparison.

I haven't eaten them as of yet, I can't get my wife to let me put it on the grill...lol However, they guys at the farm love them, they always take them with a big smile.

I didn't know iguana was a pest, as I have seen them as pets. Anyway nice shooting. Maybe you can have the guys fix some and you can have your wife try it without knowing. Who knows she might end up liking it.

Yeah, they are a pest down here is South Florida, they are non native, and have come from people releasing them from the pet trade, over the last 10 years they have multiplied to the hundreds of thousands, I have the privilege of helping a couple farms reduce the numbers, as they are mostly plant eaters, can destroy a lot of seedlings when planted.

There was a video posted a month or so ago about a Hatsan sponsored Iguana hunt in Puerto Rico. It looked like a good time. The cooked and ate everything afterward too.

Yeah, I saw that, looked like a great time, I would love to try it, as I love gator tail. I give all the iguanas to the farm hands, trust me no meat is wasted, they love'em
