 Once again my friend Jeff was kind enough to show up at 5:45am to pick me up and drive us down to the Good Ole Boys club in Pulaski, TN.
Naturally a good time was had by all and as always happens I again leaned new things airgun and got to check out a few new things.
A new resettable target I hadn't seen in person before ( Remington? Really not certain about that) and it worked very well indeed with both high and low -12fpe- rifles:



And Jeff had a nice selection of his Stainless Steel spinner targets for sale:


Just in case it rained and we couldn't shoot out in the Pines Roz has targets set up for shooting from under the Pavilion. Shot with no zoom:

Larry's rifle is slightly different in that he went with a full sized shroud and CF mod, looked sharp and worked well;



Got to see & test the new Air Venturi (PA) Field Target, much better than a Gamo, good thick metal nylon lock nuts, reducers built in a great value at $18.00.



Roz gave me one of Ron Robinsons Airgun calendars, very nice.


And, on the way Home we made a short stop to pick up my new HM1000x .30 2nd gen !

Wish you lived closer also, always fun to shoot with more people who appreciate airguns.
It was a very nice day, all things considered what with it being January and all the weather was very nice, upper 50's and even though it looked like it should RAIN not a drop came while we were all shooting. And it certainly is nice seeing and test driving everyone's gear. I hadn't ever seen an RAW with the large full length shroud and CF mod, personally I thought it had a nice look to it and for those that are noise sensitive it certainly did not disturb anyone/thing. I know some of the local's do/have shot at the PA event and some of the PA people ( employees/shooters) drive down to shoot with us. Roz has hosted several Nationals and the World FT event the last time it was in the U.S.
The GOB ( and Invicta) has many National FT Champions as regulars and if you just showed up with you Gamo (or Thomas or....) you would never know as everyone is equal and just there for a good time shooting with others. FT is the ONLY competition "I" have ever been involved in whIere there really are not any ego's. I've been lucky enough to meet a couple hundered airgun folks and fired even more different airguns - and some people say thing's like, but it is Xx hours to the closest event , MAKE the drive !- .
Little things like checking the newest, and oldest, airgun's , scopes, targets, free tip's , friend offering to help show me how to properly rebuild this and that, what needs to be done to achieve the optimum performance without taking any chances or wasting any money is another reason it is so worth the drive. And did I mention every single person is just so very nice and thoughtful of others, Tammy and I consider them all family. And to think, once upon a time I was just going to go one time with my .22 squirrel rifle which was slightly over powered but NO, folks insisted I shoot and I was so hooked. 
That new "Rat on the run" target was great, after spending $20ish on a Gamo I would never have purchased another FT target as I cant afford the top end ones and while the Gamo target is, okay, it really is too good. That low cost ($18.00?) Rat target is quality and naturally now I will "need" on. Same for the resetting target, I didn't see how a low powered ( sub n12fpe) could reset it hitting the lower paddle but it did indeed work well, so when I do get ready to buy another target I know for first hand fact I'll spend my money wisely.

And, um, ya sure, picking up my custom HW1000x .30 in person was a rather nice way to start the drive back home.
With the LTR stock and CF 230bar ( I believe) bottle makes it a great deal lighter than the HM1000 .22 thumbhole I had which is very important to me as I should lift the very least weight possible. Tammy took a quick shot today - no scope installed yet- , liked the weight, loved the trigger and we both are looking forward to some 100 ( and on out) yard airgun shooting. I hope to use it as a tool to recruit some of the local PB folks. And having a bit of practice shooting 100+ at 12fpe - and doing alright- the .30 will be just about like cheating but I believe it will be a good tool to pull folks into airguns.
