Got them....Javelin 23 grain slugs arrived and thoughts

They are ugly as #@$&. Matt tries to make money on his hype. Funny thing is he does not even have any academical background and he gives prelection about ballistics and other scientific stuff. Crazy world we live on.

and I supposed we all believe you have the aforementioned academically background? I get it, ugly as #@$& Is the most scientific term regarding ballistics and other scientific stuff.





However the slugs look dirty and have a ton of tiny dimples from other slugs in the package. I’ll stick with nsa has half the cost and pre lubed.

Agreed - you can't argue they look dirty and either suboptimally packaged &/or manufactured.

Thing is even here in SA where these are made the equivalent weight and number of slugs are being sold at 63% more than jsb knockouts, which obviously have the additional cost of being shipped down here from Czech Republic, and somehow arrive in much better shape.

These Javelins may shoot as well as the JSB or NSA's, but I highly doubt better at least in my gun. So at that kind of premium I would at least expect well packaged, pristine, pre-lubed slugs. That, or some sort of night and day terminal performance which I also haven't noticed on youtube videos when they're using the 26gr slugs. 

Time will tell I guess, but these may have an uphill battle ahead of them competimg against the established guys and the little things count.

Thanks for this, almost succumbed to nationalism and purchased a sleeve of .218 23gn! I will stick to the h&n for now...

Lets see what a little time does for javelin, I really hoped that they would have done something for us locals as far as price is concerned. I sure hope setting up a local shop for buyers abroad works out well for us with junk currency

With our country and currency the way it is it could all flip upside down within a couple of months and Javelins might suddenly become the bargain buy

Well I’m knowing that Krake doesn’t have the slugs online. I might run up there to kill some time and maybe lighten my wallet. I’ll let you all know if the slugs are on the shelves.

Text depending on how many of those I buy then I might even buy United States to send to an Airgun Nation member to try out on an FX Impact preferably the compact version. Maybe a trade for Nielsen slugs and you can send them to my address in Idaho in USA. Because it’s all private and my money. @stoti you have a 22 cal slug FX impact?

Okay Krale has the Javelin slugs and I just bought 4 ”tubes” and I’ll send out a sampler. 23gr, 26 gr and 30 gr. I’ll post another string later today.

Me too...it seems to be this way among the people here because you hear about people doing this all the time. Let me work out logistics but I figure a sampler of 50 each.

@villiman From my limited testing, the Javelins open up more than the H&Ns at the same settings on my Impact, and this is with 23 gr. But I know the Javelins were designed around FX barrels.

I have a couple of people I want to send the slugs too, but I will contact them individually. I will have a set though I will send to someone who can solve a riddle, which is to come. NO USING THE INTERNET. LOL like taking a test at home and it isn’t open book.

Just ordered me all of them in .217 except the 34gr They weren’t in stock. I will do testing with these out of my factory 700 mm STX barrel and see how they do. Then I will order them in the .218 and see how they do. Already tested some NSA slugs. My channel is fathertimenc on YouTube.
