So my Hammer just arrived. Moving up from 9mm pcp to the 50 for whitetail.
First question, tank and forend loose. No new gun prep listed in manual. Seems like tank should be screwed in fairly tight. Looks like will require pulling forend to allow fill port and gauge (since they stick out a bit) to spin with tank. How tight? Obviously has to be in 180 degree increments to re-install forend. Looks like tightening tank will remove slop from forend as well.
Store full of pressure? I'll be filling with my large tank.
Thanks

Maybe answering my own questions here but maybe someone can confirm please.
I pulled the forend and saw that the base of the forend (where it is screwed to the receiver) has two tiny Allen screws that were loose. Tightened those and slid the forend back on. Took the slop out and even the tank feels better because it's almost tight to the forend shroud.
With shroud off the tank appears to be tightly screwed in to the brass fitting. Same brass fitting that has the fill port and gauge screwed in to it. Tank is tight to the brass but there is a loose wiggle to where the brass disappears out of sight. Assuming this is ok? Don't want to add air until I'm sure.

Lobi,
Welcome, glad you're here. Don't know the Hammer, owners will have to chime in on specific issues. Any scope should work on a PCP. Think of your airgun like a fire extinguisher, stored charged, no problem, in fact, empty is not recommended. Long-term storage might not want at full charge, but, at least, higher than regulator setting. WM

Lobi,
This regulator/tank combo is from my Umarex Gauntlet, a style common in the sport of paintball. The far-left end, with gauge, fill port and threaded end, is the regulator. The tank, or bottle, narrows at the neck and screws into the regulator. Since fill port and gauge need to be horizontally aligned to fit in shroud openings, the manufacturer found, when all is properly tightened, things don't always line up. So, to correct this, the threads, at far left, which screw into main block, were SLIGHTLY loosened till fill port and gauge were horizontal, understanding the end twin "O" rings will still seal and, when pressurized, the threads will lock tight. Recall some Umarex owners were concerned with this loose-fitting part and Hajimoto explained reasons for and a fix. This is as best I can recall of this matter, don't know if Hammer is the same design, finding the Hajimoto video would be necessary to verify. Best of Luck, WM

Lobi,
You're welcome, I'll assume from your response the Hammer has a similar regulator/tank system. If I recall correctly, Hajimoto's fix involved set screws and lining up the regulator. Been almost two years now, and my memory isn't the greatest, but I think this explanation is accurate. Learned all from Hajimoto videos so searching those to verify would be best. Good Luck at the range. WM
