I love this rifle! I killed a 100# sow with it a few months ago. I used a 370 gn TC Maxi Ball, which hit her just behind the leg and exited just in front of the off side leg. It was shooting these heavy bullets 519 fps, and generating 221 ft/lbs of energy. I'd started shooting a Lee REAL bullet that I was casting. It dropped out of my mold at 252 gns and was shooting 621 fps (224 ft/lb). I didn't get a shot with these new bullets.
Fast forward until today, when I shot it for the first time after getting it back from Will (Saddle Mountain Gunsmith). These 252 grain bullets are now shooting 785 fps (345 ft/lb), for a gain of 164 fps and 121 ft/lb. I'm thrilled. Well done Will! I'll be killing with this beast soon!
