Got another one hooked

I've been talking to guys at work about airguns the last couple months. They enjoy shooting, so were interested. They were amazed at the capabilities of modern pcp's. Tuesday we spent 4 hours clearing trees from a river. After we got done we went to his place to shoot my rifles. He is used to shooting PB's. He admitted each time he looked through the scope he was tensing some and anticipating the recoil and sound. It took him a while to get used to not having it. We kept watching for squirrels to shoot but none showed up.

We shot till dark. I had some old ft targets to shoot at but no way to anchor them so we could reset them without getting up. He kept commenting how relaxing and peaceful shooting it was. Especially after a day of work. We were plinking knots on a stump, small twigs etc. We ran through a tank of air on the redwolf. He remarked how gorgeous it was. He kept asking more and more questions like how to get setup with one etc. Hes seriously looking at getting a pcp now. As he said it has all the pro's of shooting with none of the cons.

The team is likely going to get together at a guys house to go through the equipment as we wind down for the winter. After we are done we will be doing another shooting session. They already told me to bring my rifles. I will likely get a couple more hooked during that time.

I am glad i sit in a 2 floor apartment in town, CUZ i think if i could shoot every day, i would.
Even if winds was stronger than comfortable, CUZ then i would just cut distances down to compensate.

It have been weeks since my last outing, but this weekend look fine, so i will pack rifle and overnight equipment and spend the night at my friends place to also get a little shooting in Sunday before i go home.
Will have to bring warm clothe CUZ daytime temperatures in Denmark here are now down around 10 deg C / 50 deg F, which for this guy are outside of the comfort zone.

Denmark are actually Canada north on the globe, but we are fortunate to sit on the water and the gulf current bringing heat up here, so we dont get Canadian winters here, actually with global warming we dont even get winters like in my childhood in the 70ties.
To get to the northern end of Sweden or Norway, that's another 1500 KM / 930 miles or more of driving, and then you are also above the artic circle.

Sunday look to be almost wind less, so i have high hopes for shooting and this time also documenting some nice tight 5 shot groups at 90 yards.
Some punk on youtube called me out, and we cant have that. :)

Love to hear stories like this.

Back at the end of summer I had some friends who are dedicated PB shooters over for a long weekend, and I rolled out my best air rifles and pistols hoping to make some converts. One friend loved the Beeman .22 P1 and the .177 HW50S. He bought himself a P1, and is going to order an HW50S. Mission accomplished.

Speaking of shooting weather, It's 23 F and snowing right now in Northern Maine. First snow this year was Halloween. I enjoy winter shooting, but when it's too cold for my outdoor range, I switch to my 10m indoor range. Here's what it looked like earlier today-
