Got a Slab, COMPLETE

Thanks aj. It is nice to know I can do it.

Vu that's a great compliment, but I'd put this project more in a bucket list category. I've got to many other things I'd like to try.

Glengiles, I haven't weighed it but it is very close to the original stock holding it. Surprisingly light. With the design and inletting a lot of excess is cut off.

"Monkyshine"What amount of time did your stock project take?
I should have logged the hours, because time flies when you're having fun. I started June 9th and piddled evenings and more on weekends. I finished in about a week and a half. I had planned my course out in my mind and the marking steps and jigs took most of the time. Once inletting was finished it went fairly fast.

😩Black walnut is calling my name!
Cue Mr Bill, Nooooo😂

Once you start you won't be able to stop! To show off that B-E-A-Utiful wood need to have a more solid butt stock like the new Cricket Mini-Carbine or the Vulcan Carbine. Just throwing out an idea.

I'm getting ready to start an Walnut stock not quite as pretty as yours. Should have my shop completely wired this week so I'm itching to get at it.

Go for it!
