Crosman2016 thanks. You don't even have to numb the wood to work on it. And it's easy cause there's no tongue wagging in your way. Hahaha. I agree with Tony.R, I'm planning on natural and let the mahogany be what it is. Gun oil then stock wax will likely be the finish.
Tony.R that truly is a nice piece of wood. I love the variety you can get. I would love to do a bunch of them with exotic woods, but knife handles would be cheaper and quicker. I love the uniqueness of wood and deer antlers. When I buy a firearm I always get them to bring out three and pick the best looking stock. To bad it's harder to do that with Airguns. They aren't as mainstream here yet. Most folks around me don't even know they exist much less own one. I was blown away and jumped in when I stumbled across The squirrel hunter channel and Ted on YouTube.
