got a 300s and a hawke sidewinder 4-16. Have zeroing issues.

I have the scope mounted in a BLK-354 mount. I can get the windage adjusted but it is shooting 4.5 inches LOW at 10 yards. That equates to 45 minutes of angle. The scope, and I doubt any scope, will not adjust that much. SOOOO, how can I make this work?

If I calculated correctly I am looking at a .040 shim. That is huge I think.

Looking for suggestions.

Thanks

I cannot in good conscience recommend the BKL brand due to recent post having issues.

You can try the cheapie RWS Lockdown mount too but not sure if you will have to DREMEL IT (DREMEL WORKS!) a little to clear that HAWK belly. Mod the stop pin to fit the 300 groove.

Check for 15% discount if it still works there.

If you go with the UTG dropped Picatinny then get the Burris Signature XTR rings with the shim inserts inserts to perfectly optically center your scope that won't put a mark. $70.99 THIS IS CHEAP! These usually sell for $99.95 and often well over $100 from dealers.

Here's someone selling shoot an offer with the $70.99 price reference.

thanks but that is not going to help. It mounts the scope WAY to far back. Has to look like the attached pic with the eye piece even with the back of the action.

Mount both rings only on the rear section of your scope tube or just buy the 0.007 droop compensated version of that BKL Or send yours to MAC1 to machine the droop in that mount you have.

Here's my setup. First, get a UTG 11mm to picatinny drooper rail adapter from Pyramyd:

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/UTG_Drooper_Scope_Rail_11mm_to_Weaver_Adapter_Compensates_for_Droop_Stops_Scope_Shift/4191

Then, any Picatinny/Weaver rings should work ok. Don't be afraid of the scope height. This will give you enough clearance to insert the pellets into the barrel. I use this for 25 M BR shooting and it works well. I'm of the firm belief that the barrels don't droop and are straight with the receiver. It's just that the pellet trajectory is so loopy that you need to adjust the scope angle to match. "Drooper" mounts are used on firearms too, especially 22 rimfires.
