Goofing around with the .177 TX200 @ 100yds

Beautiful day, suns out, wind isn't terrible, so I decided to go out and enjoy it after the lawn was mowed. Shot a group at 100yds with my 10.5fpe TX200 from a seated FT position for fun. Shot #2 opened the group up quite a bit BUT I adjusted my POA afterwards and made the group even worse haha. The next three shots were an inch over shot #1. Live and learn!

I like it.. ive done far worse.. then theres that one day i guess i hold my mouth just right and got better results. Im sure you will have a day like that a few times with it .. ya ill take that group just fine above..

Yeah I've done better (and much worse lol) than this too. It was just nice to have the weather nice enough to attempt it for a change. It's always too windy or too hot or raining lately to do it. Today was a good day though!

Ya, here's been wind everyday for months 10+25 mph lol.. now heat and humidity . This morning humidity was awful. I just gave it up . Its hot now 96' bit of he moisture burned off and im goid in the shade now..so not as bad as earlier. Ya, 100 with a springer is pretty doable. Just got to get out there and do it.

Oof yeah you have some rough Temps out your way. I'll probably sneak up to the club tomorrow morning and shoot around for a bit and see what I can do from an actual rest instead of my knee. I've got pretty high hopes for it but we'll see. The good news is that even worse case scenario, the benches are in the shade!

I shoot off a tee shirt stuffed sock and opensighted. No fancy bench or bags or shooting vices.

For 100 open sight i use a 2-1/2 or 3" bullseye with 6oclock hold on them and a good day to do it... Lol
My last 100 try with a gifted hatsan95 qe .22. Stock irons cphp. Not bad for sub 200$ gun i think. Perfect day could do better then could not?

You're a better man than me. My eyes don't adjust to irons as well as they used to. I guess the years of welding have taken their toll. I can still use a peep pretty well though.

Whats your favorite open sight gun? I'd imagine a 35 with rear aperture would shoot the lights out

You know i get better grouping without scoped past 50y... Crazy but true..
I never been a scope guy anyway . One of my gun policy is no sights, no sale.. i can't have or use a scope only gun. A lot of nice guns i passed on due to that.. a lot.

Favorite open sight gun is my gamo wisper fusion mach 1 .22. She can lay the smack down . She now needs a new piston seal but still holds her own vs the rest.. that hatsan 95 was a surprise. I did not think much of it when it was give to me but shot good then went shotgun and blew lots of smoke . Did a getto tune by buffing the nicks out of the seal and lubing with krytox with that what a difference.. just a shame it looks and geels like a toy gun cause it dont shoot like one..
