Good heavy .25 for Veteran

Any suggestions on good heavy .25 pellets that will work in the Taipan Veteran magazine? JSB exact kings work fine, barracuda hunters and crow magnums too long.

Fortunately they do all work with single feeder so that's cool.

Kings Heavy 33.9g are longer than barracuda and crow, heavies still has room in the mag. So I'm Lost on your question??

They would fit in magazine but magazine wouldn't turn on its own when I pulled the lever.

Beeman crow magums would come closest but I had to turn magazine by hand. I didn't really try to jam the hunter extremes in but they seemed to barely even allow magazine to seat.

Is there a trick or something? I just pushed pellet in until it 'clicked'.

H and N should do the trick. My .22 loves the 21gr Barracudas.

I see on Pyramid Air they have the JSB 33.95gr Exact King and then Exact King MKII heavies. What's the difference? The MKII mention skirt size of 6.5mm, what are the originals?


I just measured my 25.39 gr and the skirt is about 6.55mm average so the MKII are smaller and I'd guess I don't want that.

I've shot both versions of the .25 33.95 gr JSB. They both cycle fine. I only shot the MK1 in an accuracy test. Used the MK2 for Chrony work. I'll compare the accuracy side by side of both these and the Baracudas. Just need to get to a point that I can make it happen. 

With th that said, it's my belief that the MK1 has a better ballistic coefficient than the others.

I got the buy 3 get 4th free of the JSB Kings in 25.39 gr months ago, well ahead of getting a .25 AG. I had intended on a .25 Marauder or Armada, but now that I have the Taipan I want to try some heavies. But then I'll have a bunch of 25.39 gr and rather have a crap-ton of the heavies instead of a half and half mix as my long term goal is distance out to 100 yards.
