Good deal on Anti-Cant Device made by Mounting Solution's Plus

The original Anti-Cant Devices made by Mounting Solutions Plus are top quality bubble levels that sit squarely on the scope tube. Made in the USA and priced as well as the overseas made pieces. Search eBay and buy directly from the manufacturer there. There's a decent sale price currency.

@Turdbanditt I have the offshore made units that you linked to, and bought them at that price as well. But I have seen the errors in my ways, and switched them out for the slightly more expensive American made quality units I linked to above.

Bet the plastic level is of chinese origin. Bet the metal is too?!? Lol. so how much american made quality is it really. By a quick look at the pics in the ebay link the machining looks terrible. I can see pits an burs all over the place on that thing. Super slop machine work.

Iv seen the error of my ways in thinking that just cause something says american made that it must of been all american made and of quality value.

A Level is a Level with 3 primary things required to be effective and useful ....

#1 being the scopes vertical retical cross hair is passing threw bore center line.
#2 that the bubble level can be rotated so when the vertical cross hair is viewed against a plumb bob line the bubble reads level.
#3 you can EASILY view the bubble level while in your shooting position ideally with you non scope eye.

That means a top placed level may be out of consideration for me. Or having the side mounted bubble style on opposite side of a scope.
The top mount bubble is a good idea (only) because I am finding it finicky to tighten the level that has off-center bubble (like that one from amazon link).

Tighten one side all the way then back it out 2 full turns. Tighten the other side all the way then back out 2 full turns. Switch side to side for quarter turns. One side may need an extra qtr turn or so over the other, thats fine. Once you get it semi tight switch to 1/8th turns per side. Pretty easy to install no matter which style you pick. A level is a level if it works. The hard to get level levels would be the mounts with built in level in the base. Its almost never right.

The offset side mounted level has it's advantage in that it appears (in your peripheral vision, weak eye) more or less right above the scope reticle by the side turret knob. Whereas the center mounted level is still in your peripheral, just offset of the reticle. I got the center mounted units for it's benefits of not hanging off the side of the scope so as to be a snagging or jarring point on the scope if it gets hit. Turdburglar's post is spot on tightening them up, going a fraction of a turn at a time on each side. However, the quality, no matter the country source of material, is there, and much better that the "others" shown. Otherwise, I would not be buying them or showing members where to buy them on this forum.

That fun power was 14 bucks on Amazon. I bought it as a joke for the china build an cut the center cross bar off it. Was some kinda generic canted mount that wasn't canted. Turned it into a set of rings and theyve been the best set of dovetail rings iv ever had. Scope was damn near zero straight on install. No shiming or nothing just slapped the fukkers on cinched em down tightened the zero stop slapped the gun in a vise an leveled the scope to the gun an all was straight af. Took a shot after cinching it all down an hit a 1/2 inch under where i was aiming at 10.

Dont mind the level built in the mount its doodoo. Itll work but im not dicking around with leveling it. Super big pain in the butt to keep it right when cinching the scope down. The slightest tap seemed to offset it no matter how many times youd make adjustments so i got it to close enough an just stoped messing with it an slaped a ring one on my buttstock
