Gonna see if Magnum springer likes Griffin slugs

Top picture:
A .22 Griffin slug with thin wall cup base. 18 grain, 2170” exactly.

Gonna see if my John Thomas tuned Beeman R1 .22 likes this in .2180” with these bases.
My R1 begins to spit em in a ragged hole at 30 yards if head is engaged.
If it’s anywhere near as accurate as JSB 5.53 18.13’s 🤗 or H&N 5.53 FTT 14.66’s, I’ll be ecstatic.

Please be aware of the following.
Griffin can make any nose (2S, 4S, even 6S spire point) any base, and get balance point wherever you want it.
The new LDC, the acronym for “Low Density Core,” is a perfectly round/hollow Delrin sphere that acts as a piston upon impact.
It can be seated anywhere to help move weight FOC.
Add in the newest HBRBT “Hollow Base Rebated Boat Tail” and higher speeds/further distances w/ superb accuracy become possible.
The range of weights, heavy or light for caliber is great.

Any slug you could dream of is available in a wide range of whatever OD (outer diameter) your barrel does best with. Slugs not seating well? Too loose or too tight? More to come. Hopefully barrels get standardized one day.

.2165” .2170” .2175” .2180”

Griffin sends out only top notch slugs. I haven’t seen any this nice since Rat Snipers were available. Same Corbin press, DRO machined dies that all serious slug makers use.
Being all Griffin slugs are 1 or 2 stroke hand pressed consistently & sorted, I’m willing to pay a bit more for them. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t buy NSA bulk HSP ones. I just use the best I’ve tried for my barrels for all critical shooting.

Below is the new Griffin TC base. Truncated Cone. I’m gonna try some different bases/lightweight .22’s for springers & mid powered PCP’s. My R1 always prefers 5.53-5.55mm. So .218’s or .2175’s.

If anyone has info on slugs their springers do extremely well with, please share the specs on airgun & projectiles. Thanks all & be safe
