We used the cheap plastic golf balls but with no holes, they even have dimples, or the chalk ones that blow up...really cool, but never a real one !! Same goes with tires, shot at old tires and had the pellets come back at us !!

Never owned a golf ball, so I'm good. Please don’t shoot at them. I watched a pellet come back after a fellow shooter HAD to put one out at 50 yards. He was shooting a magnum powered break barrel .22. His bench was a good 20 feet away from me. We both lucked out that day.
Are cheese balls food, really?
I think the surface being concave has little to nothing to do with it. Even flat metal targets are usually hung loosely or angled so that the pellet is deflected downward toward the ground. A golf ball is made to "bounce back" and if not penetrated will act like a spring on the pellet/projectile.NEVER shoot anything concave! Very good chance it will come back at you. I learned this the hard way with a 357 PB. I shot at an old shovel sticking in the dirt. That bullet came back so close I heard it wizz past my ear! The reason golf balls ricochet is because of the dimples. When a pellet hits the concave. dimple it comes straight back. That's why they say to get rid of gongs or steel targets when they get dished out.
I like these ideas and it got me thinking maybe a bulk buy of "sidewalk chalk" that some parents buy for their kids. It comes in sticks, but might be easily cut or broken down into smaller disks for targets?Aspirin and antacids both make great targets. They are challenging to hit, make a nice cloud of dust and are quite cheap.
Still not sure what you mean... but if you mean what I think you mean... that is probably what I should have done with the two Center Point scopes that I had that came on an airgun in a "combo" deal! (chuckle) Both were fixed 4x scopes and really sucked.I have to admit, i really enjoyed shooting the scopes that came with our Gamos.
You are correct, they were hung from a branch and shot to pieces. Gave me much enjoyment.Still not sure what you mean... but if you mean what I think you mean... that is probably what I should have done with the two Center Point scopes that I had that came on an airgun in a "combo" deal! Actually, I gave both of them away. One of those people is still using theirs AFAIK, but they have no idea how bad it really is. (shrug)
I guess free means more than good to some... (smile) And when you aren't financially able, free does mean quite a bit.
All my best!

We had a box of expired creamers. The small ones you get at the gas stations. Those are pretty fun. Wish I had more.I like these ideas and it got me thinking maybe a bulk buy of "sidewalk chalk" that some parents buy for their kids.
