Going to try some new VK slugs on birds tomorrow

Just ran some D-RIG 24gr HP slugs over the Chrono and got the rifle all set for tomorrow.

Lowered the reg pressure 5bar to 150 and only lost 3fps average. Check the ES.....tight! I only shot 10 because I only have 100 of these. After tomorrow I'll know which slugs I want to order a bunch of.

Bob that looks fabulous coming right out of the gate. Hey quick question which Chrono are you using? I've had my old stand by for years, but I'm thinking of upgrading to radar since this hobby is so Chrono specific. Good luck tomorrow however I don't think you need it have fun!

Nope, just the basic hammer tune kit.

My Chrono is the Competition Electronics Pro Chrono and I have the Digital Link and indoor light kit. About $200 for all of that.

Though having a magneto speed would be great for the field......I night get one of those this summer.

Wow , looking good there Bob the 24s should hit a lot harder

that the other 24s with the 2-S nose , I for one am wondering

which one will perform better for you , can't weight to find out .

The slugs worked great!

Turned out to be a day for starlings.....over 100 yds no problem.

And they definitely smacked louder!!

So what slug in 24 grain was the better round

24 grain with the 2-S nose or the 24 grain HP .

Well, they're both extremely stable.....no hint of wobble but I like the 2-S nose better. Order incoming!!!

BTW, one of the starlings I dropped today was a single in a tree at 132 yds. Even at that distance the "smack" was pronounced!

Bob_O, I too use VK's by D-RIG. D-RIG is the man! I shoot the 22.5's out my Impact. No doubt, one of the loudest impacts on a squirrel noggin I've ever heard. Good stuff bruh!
