Going pesting ? What music do you listen to to get your blood flowing?

Hey Guys and Gals,

I know this is a strange post to start but figuire all of us have some music we like to listen to enroute for a day of pesting.

I know to get myself into the "zone" for the killing fields, I like listening to Rob Zombie. I know it might sound strange for a 70 year old hunter to listen to RZ enroute to the wacking grounds for squirreling but it gets me into the right mind set.

With all of that said, what music do you folks listen to enroute to your favorite pesting grounds?

This should have some entertaining replies.

Thanks, Mike

Since I pest from my house (out of my "sniper window") most of the time, I don't listen to music before I pest. Actually, I simply try to be vewy, vewy quiet!

Because my TV is almost always tuned to MeTV (OTA via antenna, no cable/satellite here) what I do hear depends on the time of day/night and what show is on at that time. When there is nothing on that I like, I have all of the Three Stooges Shorts (all 190 of them) on a hard drive and that is what will be playing on the TV. (chuckle)

I don't need "mood" music for pesting. (smile)

I listen to the weather.

Well , I can see your point. You must have to travel a distance.

A little distance, 90 miles driveway to driveway. For me, I don’t care for music or getting hyped or psyched up to go pesting or hunting or shooting. Calm and logical is what I aim for, so gathering information on the conditions and environment is more important to me. YMMV and Ride your own Ride.

A good chuckle is music for the soul.

When you do listen to music, what do you like?

Country, rock, classical, heavy metal, etc?
