I agree with you as the cards don't cost that much.
You want a good name brand from a store you can trust as there are many forgeries around. The Lexar 667x is inexpensive and still a great performing card.

Why would anyone paid 1200 for that set up. You can buy a cheap go pro New for 250. Then get a eagle lens for $60. Get the side shot case 270. And you are good to go.

Yes, and the set up you describe werqs for many of us here. But there are those who may not want to do the extra werq and they can have it as it is offered if it is their desire. There is nothing wrong with that either.
