Huben GK1 spring tune -massive improvement

I have a GK1 .177. Being 177 I knew it wasn't going to be a power house but was unhappy with it's performance esp from 15 ftlb up. It would air dump at around 20mpa and fps spread was all over. Have had this thing apart 100 times lol. I ended up annealing the conical closed valve spring. Shortened it around 3-5mm. MASSIVE improvement.

Seneca 16.1 30mpa fill
19 shots 703-683 ext sprd 19.8 sd 6.4
38 shots 732-683 ext sprd 48.7 sd 16.9

Rws super mag 9.1 25mpa fill
38 shots 886-854 ext sprd 32 sd 7.2

SHoots down to 10mpa no problems. Never dumped air again. Have put WELL over 500 rounds threw it zero issues. Most have been just plinking mostly, need to sit down and do more tunes. Anyway figured I'd post this maybe will help others. Huben should have spent more time setting calibers up, IMO they should all use different springs.

Edit: I understand annealing is ghetto, I plan on ordering different springs to test. Not finished yet 😁
